Online gaming is expressly legal in Latvia as part of the 2006 Gambling and Lotteries Law.

Latvians are only supposed to bet with companies licensed to operate in Latvia, and in 2014, the country's Lotteries and Gambling Supervision Inspection (IUAUI) launched an online gaming blacklist and is working to disable access to 102 online gambling sites.
